Yes, all cameras that feature a USB data port will work with the app as long as the camera supports PTP/MTP protocols. This protocol may need to be enabled in your camera’s settings but is usually enabled by default. Please check your camera owner’s manual for information on how to enable this feature.

Yes! In fact, we encourage the use of powered hubs when transferring large amounts of data. The iPhone and iPad will draw power from the camera which can drain the cameras batteries faster than normal. By using a powered hub, the device will sense that power is available from the hub and use it to charge itself thereby leaving your camera alone!

Yes! You can back-up any device, such as a drone, bodycam, GoPro and other Action Cameras, video cameras, as long as it has a USB data port. If it doesn’t have a data port, you can still back-up the files using the File Import option within the app.

Back-up speeds depend on the USB ports on your devices and the size of the files. For example, using a Nikon Zf camera and a USB-C enabled iPad, we were able to download, rename and sort 119 files consisting of jpg photos, videos and RAW files in 98 seconds, using up 3.1gb of space.
